Our Beginnings
Hervey Bay Drott Hire is a Hervey Bay-based company founded by John and Fay Nielsen in 1988. We became a registered company in 2007. We are at the forefront of heavy earthmoving in the Hervey Bay district. We have grown from a husband and wife team operating a sole Drott to now employing 10 staff and operating over 20 excavation and earthmoving machines.

We have established long-term relationships with numerous builders, contractors and councils in the Fraser Coast region, which reflects our commitment to excellence and exceptional service. We have subcontracted on small and large projects, from driveways and pools for the homeowner to large subdivisions and civil works.
Fully Accredited for Peace of Mind
Our operators are fully accredited and abide by all government occupational health and safety regulations and environmental policies. Public liability insurance is also in place, and our machinery is maintained to the highest standards to ensure reliability and optimal performance.
